D'abord actrice à Broadway et à la télévision à partir de 2008, Ariana Grande passe à la chanson en 2011. La Grande Sophie a vécu toute sa jeunesse à Port-de-Bouc près de Marseille. Elle crée la « kitchen music », qu'elle définit comme « un mouvement du milieu des années 90 qui considère l'activité musicale comme peu différente de toute autre tâche quotidienne ». Elle baigne dans le milieu musical dès son plus jeune âge. À treize ans, elle monte son premier groupe avec son frère et son voisin. Son instrument de prédilection est la guitare.

Based in the heart of the English middle lands (well... a little bit East of that perhaps) Grande Duke play an an eclectic mixture of post rock, jazz, and math. The band was formed in 2007, or maybe 2008, by Sean and Rich (ex- felusia end) and Bazz (beyond this point are monsters)...
