Gwen Guthrie (July 14 (some sources say July 9) 1950 – February 3, 1999) was an American singer and songwriter, who also sang backing vocals for Aretha Franklin, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, and Madonna, among others, and who wrote songs made famous by Ben E. King, Gary Glitter and Roberta Flack.

Le trio Foster the People prend forme en 2009 à Los Angeles et est composé de Mark Foster (claviers/guitare/chant), Cubbie Fink (basse) et Mark Pontius (batterie). Le groupe se fait remarquer avec le simple Pumped Up Kicks, qui trouve sa popularité sur le Web. Son premier album, « Torches », est paru en mai 2011.

Gwendolyn Renée Stefani ou Gwen Stefani (née à Fullerton comté d'Orange, en Californie, le 3 octobre 1969), est une chanteuse, auteur, styliste et occasionnellement actrice américaine.
Gwen Stefani a grandi dans une fratrie de quatre enfants, Eric, Todd Stefani, et Jill Stefani. Le premier faisait partie du groupe No Doubt dont Gwen était également membre dès sa création en 1986. Elle a reçu une éducation religieuse catholique. Sa mère l'a appellée Gwen car une hôtesse dans le roman Airport de Arthur Hailey sorti en 1968 s'appelait ainsi. Son second prénom, qui est Renée, vient de la chanson "Walk Away Renée"...
Il est le guitariste du groupe Beth pendant 7 ans (avec lequel il enregistre plusieurs EP et un album en 2000). Au cours de ces années, ils parviennent à s'attirer la sympathie du public en se produisant en premières parties de groupes majeurs comme Dolly, Yann Tiersen, Venus, Dionysos, The Delgados ou encore Kat Onoma. Le groupe, qui en 2003 change de nom pour Monneypenny, connaitra son apogée en 2004 grâce à leurs ouvertures pour les tournées de Placebo et The Kills, avant de se séparer un an plus tard.

The Foster Kids are a five-piece band based in Norwich, UK, formed in 2006. The band perform both electric and acoustic. Lead singer Ian Alexander (who won four games on TV show Countdown) also performs solo acoustic. Members have played in various bands previously, including Massey and The Spinning Jennys. .
