Dir en grey est un groupe de rock/metal japonais, formé après le départ de Kisaki du groupe La:Sadie's et l'arrivé du nouveau bassiste Toshiya. La:Sadie's devient alors Dir en grey en 1997. Le groupe est composé de 京 (Kyo) au chant, 薫 (Kaoru) et Die à la guitare, Toshiya à la basse, et Shinya à la batterie. En 1997 sort MISSA, leur premier mini-album, mais l'arrivée de Yoshiki (batteur de X Japan) comme producteur et le passage major du groupe en 1999 change véritablement la donne. Geryhound était une formation de reggae originaire du Royaume-Uni. Ils ont d'abord commencé sous le nom "The Rudies" à la fin des années 60, avec pour leaders Danny Smith et Freddie Notes. Ils ont aussi publié des titres en tant que "The Tilermen" ou "Des All Stars". Après le départ de Notes, Glenroy Oakley a rejoint le groupe devenant alors Greyhound.
