Acker Bilk, né le 28 janvier 1929 à Pensford, Somerset, Angleterre, est un clarinettiste. Il est connu pour son style unique : barbichette, chapeau melon, gilet rayé et surtout son vibrato caractéristique tiré de sa clarinette basse. Petit, ses parents ont essayé de lui apprendre le piano, mais il préférait les activités de plein air. Il a appris la clarinette tout en servant dans la "Royal engineers" sur le canal de Suez.
