Harvey Milk are an American experimental massive noise rock band that formed in Athens, Georgia in the early 1990s. While Harvey Milk invariably draws comparisons to the Melvins, due to their penchant for slow, heavy riffs, the band has touched upon such artists as ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin and Leonard Cohen as influences in their music. They even went so far as to perform a live show consisting of nothing but Hank Williams covers. One April Fool's Day gig at the 40 Watt in Athens, they performed R.E.M.'s Reckoning from beginning to end while Michael Stipe was in attendance.

The Dwarves (les nains) est un groupe de punk rock, formé à la fin des années 1980 à Chicago dans l'Illinois sous le nom de The Suburban Nightmare. Ils sont actuellement basés à San Francisco, Californie.
Lorsque les Dwarves débutent à Chicago, c'est une formation d'adolescents qui se font appeler the Suburban Nightmarede. Ils jouent du rock garage, un son que l'on retrouve en partie dans leur premier album Horror Stories, sorti en 1986, sous leur nom actuel. Après ce premier album, les Dwarves font une tournée nationale aux États-Unis qui dure plus de sept ans.

Polly Jean Harvey, née le 9 octobre 1969 à Yeovil (dans le comté de Somerset, au Royaume-Uni), est une chanteuse et compositrice britannique. Elle a enregistré en tant qu'artiste solo sous le nom de PJ Harvey, mais c'est dans un trio également nommé PJ Harvey (avec Rob Ellis et Steve Vaughn) qu'elle a commencé sa carrière.
Polly Jean Harvey a suivi des cours de sculpture au Yeovil Art College. Elle a étudié le saxophone pendant environ huit ans et jouait du saxo dans ses premiers groupes, Bologna et Automatic Dlamini.
