Beehoover are a German two-piece band (Ingmar, bass and vocals, Claus, drums). After trying to form a normal four piece band: bass, drums, guitar, singer, they failed to find a suitable guitarist and vocalist. From the outset, they wanted the bass to be the leading instrument and a guitar to enhance it, but it didn't work out. The first demo in 2004 featured three tracks with an additional vocalist they had finally found. After this the bassist and drummer decided not to have a separate singer. Three songs were written and ended up on the A Mirror Is A Window's...

Unusually, three of the four members shared vocal duties equally. They are often credited as being a progenitor of math rock along with bands like Drive Like Jehu; indeed, while the band did definitely display influences from DC indie pioneers Fugazi, they also drew comparisons to DLJ and other non-DC bands. Hoover split up in...
Colleen Kelly came onto the dance music scene a few years ago as a vocalist for the EDM production duo Interstate. She is the voice behind their smash hits “I Found You” and “Remember Me”. The hit single “I Found You” debuted on Paul Oakenfold: CREAMFIELD’s, a 2004 compilation, which was nominated for a Grammy for Best Dance Album. At that time, the song was still unsigned. “I Found You” was signed to Armin van Buuren’s label, ARMADA, in 2005. By the time it was officially released, it had hit No. 1 on the DANCEGROOVES.COM general dance music chart. By...
