Modern Talking est un groupe allemand constitué de Dieter Bohlen et Thomas Anders. C'est en 1982 que Dieter Bohlen (auteur/compositeur/producteur) rencontre Thomas Anders (interprète) qu'il va produire en solo. Après quelques titres, en allemand, dont une reprise de Fr David (Pick Up de Phone) et de Real Life (Send Me An Angel), les deux hommes décident de former le duo Modern Talking courant 1984. Leur premier titre "You're my heart, you're my soul" devient rapidement un des hits de l'année 1985, annonçant une déferlante de tubes internationaux. Talking Heads est un groupe américain de rock, plus particulièrement de post-punk, ayant existé entre 1974 et 1991 et composé de David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth et Jerry Harrison. Ils jouaient dans les clubs de New York City, comme le CBGB’s. Le groupe signe en 1977 son premier album, Talking Heads 77. Sur l'album suivant, More Songs About Buildings And Food, Talking Heads s'associe au producteur Brian Eno. L'album allie instruments acoustiques et électroniques. Le Modern Jazz Quartet est un groupe de jazz américain formé en 1952 par Milt Jackson (vibraphone), John Lewis (piano, directeur musical), Percy Heath (basse), et Kenny Clarke (batterie). Connie Kay a remplacé Kenny Clarke en 1955. Milt Jackson, Lewis, and Clarke ont joué pour la première fois dans un quartet alors qu'ils faisaient partie du Dizzy Gillespie orchestra, de 1946 à 1950. Modern Jazz was an electro-based live performance group assembled and co-ordinated by Ash Wednesday. Not a conventional group by any means, Modern Jazz was carefully designed to constantly evolve and change form, to include various configurations of numerous and diverse select musicians and artists. It was to exist, therefore, as a vehicle for creative input from a varied extent of sources. This input was often directed towards the idea of mating computer generated sound and vision to human spontanaiety (perhaps stange bedfellows to the uninitiated). When viewed from this angle, the name 'Modern Jazz', however ironic, was specifically descriptive. .

Modern Love is a punk band from Oslo, Norway. They have released a demo tape under the name Strike a Match. A split 7" with Bernays Propaganda was released in March 2013. They have songs on the Bransjevelter 7, 8 and 11 compilations on Fysisk Format. In May 2014 Lilla Himmel released their 4-track 7" called Small Stone EP.
