Colonia was founded in 1996 by Boris Đurđević and Tomislav Jelić, two DJs from Vinkovci, Croatia. They invited Indira "Ira" Levak to become their vocalist. The name of the group comes from the ancient Latin name of the Croatian town Vinkovci which was "Colonia Aurelia Cibalae". Colonia quickly became one of the most popular dance groups in Croatia and its popularity later grew in other areas of former Yugoslavia, as well as worldwide. Tomislav Jelić left the group in 2014. The Colonial One adventure began in 2009, when Luca Magnano and Andrea Magnano started with their trance project. With this creative alias, the brothers have captured their passion for electronic music and want to give their support to the trance culture. Ten years of difference between them don't affect at all to their creativity and musical tastes. In fact, this allows them to mix different sounds between past and present. The Wild Colonial Bhoys began as a side-project idea for two young veterans of the Minneapolis rock scene. Adam Coolong and Geno Carlson hail from different backgrounds thousands of miles apart (Adam is originally from Pennsylvania and Geno calls Saskatchewan home) but found common ground with a shared Irish heritage and a desire to reinvigorate the local Irish music community. Wild Colonials were a band based in LA during the 90s. Fronted by Angela McCluskey's distinctive voice, the band also included violinist Paul Cantelon, guitarist Shark, multi-instrumentalist Scott Roewe, and drummer Thaddeus Corea.
