Miguel is a man of few words and lets his music speak for itself.

He is an accomplished Flamenco guitarist who started his life long relationship with the guitar at the tender age of four. Miguel early on studied under Rene Heredia, and Guillermo Salazar, then went on to apprentice with numerous flamenco masters in Spain. Miguel toured with flamenco dance troupes throughout Europe and the U.S., including Maria Benitez.

After years of refining his art Miguel went on to study harmonies with Wayne Sturdy and Jazz guitarist Dale Bruning. Maestro Espinoza has matured, and evolved to his own blend of harmonies and tonalities. His Compositions defy categorization.

Espinoza’s previous albums Curandero and Aras blend traditional flamenco guitar with the intricate classical drums of northern India. Recorded with his former group, Curandero, it features tablaist Ty Burhoe, bassist Kai Eckhardt (of John McLaughlin Trio fame) with performances by banjoist Bela Fleck and Bassist Eric Thorin. Aras gained global attention online where it continues to receive accolades from music critics and aficionados worldwide.

Miguel dedicates his new compositions to the spirit of creativity and walking through life with his guitar in hand. Guitarra en Mano has its roots and inspiration in classical Flamenco, yet departs innovatively toward his own compositional style. .
