Hailing from the likes of England, Belgium and Switzerland, Chapter are as much an amalgamation of sundry musical genres as they are a geographical coincidence. The band consists of Thierry van Osselt, songwriter and sound engineer, and Alexander Craker, singer-songwriter.

Together they build craftworks of warm acoustic guitars, tap-your-foot beats and gloomy folk melodies. The band formed after a few musically-fruitful days in 2004 during which Alex and Thierry pooled their talents and influences to compose, arrange and record their debut album,

« One (Prologue) », which was released soon thereafter. The album received glowing reviews, delighting audiences with its well-balanced folk, pop and post-rock undertones. Ten songs comprise the band’s recently completed second release, with an other five songs for the limited edition.

The music is pensive ; quiet and yet synergistically energetic while maintaining a homogeneous aesthetic. On this record, « Two (The Biographer ) », Chapter seem to have perfected their art, creating a smooth vein of folkrock with tunes that unfold their magic even after scores of listens. .
