Establecida en Brooklyn esta basada en el alternative-rock, X Ambassadors es una combinacion de apasionado y oscuro, y analfabetos que mezclan música acústica, eléctrica, y los sonidos electrónicos. Originalmente, la banda formada por el cantante y compositor Sam Harris, su teclista hermano Casey Harris, guitarrista y amigo de la infancia Noé Feldsuh fueron en la universidad. The Ambassadors of Sorrow believe in the beauty of sad songs. They live somewhere wild and strange in Cornwall. Influences include traditional English folk music, doowop, beat pop and rockabilly via 1960s France.
