Dreams Come True fue fundado por Masato Nakamura, y a la cabeza está Miwa Yoshida, quien compone las canciones. Al comienzo eran tres, al teclado estaba Takahiro Nishikawa hasta que se marcho de la banda en 2002. La banda es conocida como DCT (Dreams Come True) o también como "Dorikamu" (ドリカム, "Dorikamu"?) por sus seguidores. Dreams Come True lanzaron su album debut en 1989, vendieron mas de un millon de copias. True Colors, banda proveniente de Bélgica con una voz que recuerda a Youth of Today, se formó en el año 2004 por el ex-guitarrista de la banda Justice. Sus influencias son Youth of Today, Turning Point e In My Eyes. .

La True Symphonic Rockestra comienza en 1997 cuando Dirk Ulrich se encontraba produciendo el álbum de una banda y a ésta se le ocurrió la idea de grabar algunas partes con un par de cantantes de ópera. Gracias a esto, Ulrich tuvo la ocurrencia de grabar parte del repertorio de los tres tenores (Luciano Pavarotti, Plácido Domingo y José Carreras) en versión rock.
