El nombre del grupo es un anagrama, el cual revelaron en el vídeo "On Top of The World". Su nombre original es, al parecer, "Ragged Insomnia". Imagine Dragons nació en Provo, Utah, y más tarde se trasladó a Las Vegas, Nevada.
