Galneryus fue formada el 2001 por el guitarrista Syu, el bajista Tsui y en el vocalista Yama-B.Syu, conocido por la escena metal, había participado antes en bandas como Valkyr, Animetal y Aushvitz, donde también hacia las voces de vocalista líder Yama-B, quien trabajo con las bandas Gunbridge y Rekion, originalmente él se integró por el tecladista A(de Valkyr) y el baterista Toshihiro (antiguo miembro de Honey Quest y Cemetary). Ryuji Takeuchi was born in Osaka, and then first contacted with electronic music in the eurly 90s. In the late 90s, he moved to the United States, where he started to spin and partied with his friends. At the time, he played across Techno, electro and house music no matter how he wanted. As soon as he got back he abtained 2 turntable's and a mixer, so that he check out a lot records for inspirations. Shiryu is the alias of portuguese music enthusiast Gonçalo Lopes. Began as a child when he taught himself the piano and soon after his parents bought him a Commodore Amiga 500 were he first began making music in the popular trackers software.
