Matador nació en el 2006 de la mano del productor, ingeniero y DJ irlandés Gavin Linch. Este alias fue creado para albergar los temas producidos a altas horas de la noche, cuando nace el 'Matador Sound'. Pero todo esto empezó mucho antes, escuchando recopilatorios de Dave Clarke, Richie Hawtin y más. Ahora, con su propio estudio construido en Dublín, Gavin no para de trabajar.
