Juan Antonio Ortiz, mejor conocido artísticamente como Sir Speedy inició sus primeros pasos en la música a la edad de 15 años cuando acudía a la escuela intermedia en Guayama, Puerto Rico. Sir Speedy is a band formed in Pleasantville, New York in 2007. The band consists of Ben Scherer, Thom Lombardi, and David Maine. They released their debut album FAH Q in 2007, which included the smash-hit "Gary On the Beach." Ben & Thom currently play in Palehound, and David currently plays bass in Frankie Cosmos. Steve and Joyce Raskin, brother and sister, were raised on a diverse mix of cultural influences and musical backgrounds. Growing up in Washington, D.C. in the mostly Jamaican and Hispanic neighborhood of Adams Morgan they took part in fiestas and neighborhood community parties that always involved great music.
