The 1985 were a noise rock band with a lot of soul from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, existing from 1996 to 2001, who came across best through their energetic and raucous live performances. They released two LPs, Nerve Eighty on Progeria Records, Obscured by Pink Clouds on Carbon Records, and a handful of singles including a split 12-inch single with the Dutch group Solex, and a final release on Monoton Studio. 1985 is the solo project of Matt Fu, a native of the Northwest music scene. Fuller performs music and operates his charity driven record label MASA records.
