Violaine Corradi is an Italian composer and musician who is known for her work with several Cirque du Soleil shows, including Dralion and Varekai.

Corradi was born in Trieste, Italy, and moved to Montréal at the age of four. Born into a musical family, with her father was a composer and conductor, and her mother was a professional opera singer, Corradi kept with the family tradition of music. She received classical training in singing, and learnt an array of instruments including the piano, clarinet and flute. At the age of seven, Corradi joined the children’s choir that accompanied the 'Bolshoi Opera', the 'Milan Scala' and the 'Operra du Quebec'. Corradi later studied drama, and settle on piano as her primary instrument of study.

Her compositional style gradually morphed into a hybrid of musical styles, drawing inspiration from folk music around the world and blending it with various modern and electronic elements. "I start with the percussions," she revealed in 'The Heart of Dralion' interview, "I write a melodic line and then I create the rest of the arrangements that turn like a spiral around the theme."

Corradi has composed a good number of scores for various television and movie productions prior to her work with Cirque du Soleil. From 1993 to 1998 she was the sole interpreter of the music accompanying Quebec poets in the audio series 'Poésie/Musique', which have enjoyed wide success in international French-speaking markets. In addition, Corradi composed her own album in 1996, entitled 'Passages', and composed the score for the 2001 IMAX film 'Bears'.

Corradi's first affair with Cirque was in the 1999 production of 'Dralion'. Her recognition with music continued with Cirque, where she produced additional material for their TV series flop, 'Solstrom'. Returning to Cirque again in 2002 to compose the music for 'Varekai', Corradi received a favourable reaction from fans for her work, although much hostility was shown towards the soundtrack due to the result of over-producing. Corradi was also the musical composer, arranger, and producer of the 2008 production 'Zaia'.

Corradi currently lives in Macau, China. She is also the sister of well known Cirque du Soleil singer Isabelle Corradi. .
