The Descent of the Sun es una banda Argentina de Dark Ambient y Depressive black metal formada en 2008, con una gran presencia de ambient black metal en sus trabajos. La particularidad de esta banda es que está formada por un solo miembro, que se autodenomina «Unsilent» (su verdadero nombre se desconoce), quien describe su música como «Dark Ambient And Depressive Black Metal».

En cuanto a las letras y estética (Depresiva) se asemejan al black metal, mientras que el sonido de su música es más cercano al Dark Ambient.
