Flotsam and Jetsam ist eine amerikanische Speed-/Thrash Metal-Band aus Phoenix, Arizona, die 1981 gegründet wurde. Ursprünglich hieß die Band, zunächst nur bestehend aus Jason Newsted, „Gangster“, bis sie mit dem Drummer-Zugang Kelly Smith in „Paradox“ umbenannt wurde. Den ersten professionellen Auftritt zusammen mit den Gitarristen Mark Vasquez und Kevin Horton absolvierten sie unter dem Namen „Dredlox“. Sänger Eric A. Knutson stieß 1983 zur Band sowie auch Edward Carlson, der Kevin Horton an der Gitarre ersetzte. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt nannte sich die Band „Dogz“. Den endgültigen Namen „Flotsam and Jetsam“ wählte die Band aufgrund eines gleichnamigen Songs, den sie geschrieben hatte....

The Jets are a family band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, composed of brother and sisters who specialize in pop, R&B and dance music. They officially formed in 1985, with the original lineup fizzling out by 1990. Several members of the family stayed on throughout the 1990s, unofficially reviving the group in the mid to late 1990s as a gospel outfit with most of the original members present. The Suffrajets are a British all girl four-piece rock band. Their steady rise to fame has come off the back of their frequent touring, the release of well-received singles such as Hold These Eyes and Distinction and a Channel 4 documentary entitled We Are The Suffrajets. The Sabrejets roots can be traced to the mid-to-late 80's where vocalist, guitarist & frontman Brian Young could be found with a band that he had formed THE TIGERSHARKS. With his influences including T-REX, The Cramps, Panther Burns and Johnny Thunders, Brian had decided to form the band after having a couple of years rest from the music business.
