Tierra Santa ist eine Rockband aus Logroño (La Rioja) in Spanien. Der Name der Band heißt übersetzt Heilige Erde. Stilistisch wird sie meist den Unterkategorien Power-Metal und Heavy-Metal zugeordnet.
Die Band wurde 1997 gegründet. Kollaborationen mit Bands wie Mägo de Oz und Auftritte bei größeren Konzerten machten sie im spanischsprachigen Raum bekannt.
In ihren außer in Coverversionen immer spanischsprachigen Texten besingt die Gruppe meistens historische Ereignisse (z.B. Caballo de Troya - Trojanisches Pferd, Reconquista - Wiedereroberung).

Tierra is a Latin R&B band that was established in the late 1970s by former El Chicano members Steve Salas (trombone and percussion), Rudy Salas (guitar), David Torres (keyboards) and Andre Baeza (percussion). The other original members were Bobby Navarrete (reeds), Joey Guerra (keyboards), Steve Falomir (bass guitar), and Philip Madayag (drums).
Their biggest hit was 1980's "Together". More recently, they appeared on Kid Frost's 2001 CD Still up in This ...., performing a new version of The Notations' "I'm Still Here".

Regional Mexican/Tejano artist El Coyote (born José Angel Ledezma Quintero) decided to go on his own in 1997 after participating in bands such as La Costeña, Banda El Limón, and Recoditos. Tierra Santa was formed that same year, soon recording El Coyote y Su Banda Tierra Santa's debut album called Aquí Me Quedaré, followed by 1998's Concedeme. To promote 1999's El Amo and Profundamente, the group started touring Mexico and the U.S., successfully performing live for thousands of Mexican music fans. Culiacán-born El Coyote and his ensemble returned in 2000 with Te Soñé and 2001 Cuando Regreso a Tus Brazos....
