Carpathian Forest ist eine Black-Metal-Band aus Sandnes, Norwegen. Biographie „Carpathian Forest“ wurde 1990 von „Lord Nosferatu“ und „Lord Karnstein“ (beziehungsweise Roger „Nattefrost“ Rasmussen und Johnny „Nordavind“ Krøvel) gegründet. Ihre Demo „Bloodlust and Perversion“ gilt als legendär. Nachdem sie 1993 eine weitere Demo names „Journey Through the Cold Moors of Svarttjern“ veröffentlichten, erlangten sie einen Plattenvertrag.
