Agnostic Front (abgekürzt auch einfach "AF" genannt) ist eine US-amerikanische Hardcore Punk-Band.
Bandgeschichte
Agnostic Front wurde 1982 in New York gegründet, eine der Hochburgen des US-amerikanischen Hardcore. Frontmann und Sänger ist der auf Kuba geborene Roger Miret. Weitere Mitglieder sind Vinnie Stigma (Gitarre), Mike Gallo (Bass), Steve Gallo (Schlagzeug) und Lenny Di Sclafani (Gitarre).
Innerhalb der (konsequent links und antifaschistisch geprägten) Hardcoreszene sind Agnostic Front nicht unumstritten, da ihnen vorgeworfen wird, in älteren Songs aus der "Cause for Alarm"-Phase, wie z.B. im Lied "Public Assistance", eine Anti-Sozialstaats-Message zu propagieren, und ihnen auch immer wieder Nationalismus-Vorwürfe gemacht wurden. The Agnostic Mountain Gospel Choir band hail from Calgary, Alberta. Consisting of Bob Keelaghan (guitars and vocals), Judd Palmer (vocals, banjo, guitar and harmonica), Vlad Sobolewski (upright bass) and Jay Woolley (drums and percussion), they play a "ferocious combination of traditional blues, Appalachian folk, and ragged gospel".
