Powderfinger ist eine 1989 in Brisbane, Australien gegründete Rockband. Ihren Namen erhielt die Band von Neil Youngs gleichnamigem Song.
Geschichte
In der Anfangsphase ab 1989 spielte die Band zunächst nur Coversongs. Nach zwei EPs wechselte die Band zu Polydor und veröffentlichte 1994 das erste Album, Parables for Wooden Ears, das sich aber nur schlecht verkaufte.
