Celia Cruz (vollständiger Name Celia de la Caridad Cruz Alfonso, * 21. Oktober 1925 in Havanna; † 16. Juli 2003 in Fort Lee, New Jersey) war eine kubanische Sängerin. Sie war für ihre schrillen Perücken, grellen Outfits und extravaganten Auftritte mit ihrer Band "Sonora Matancera" bekannt. Sie gilt als "Queen of Salsa" ("La reina de la salsa"); Celia trägt außerdem den nach ihrem zum Salsa-Kult gewordenen Ausruf benannten Spitznamen "Azúcar" ("Zucker").
