The Shadows sind eine britische Instrumental-Rockband, die mittlerweile seit nahezu 50 Jahren aktiv ist und vor allem in den 1960ern Erfolge zu verzeichnen hatte. Bandgeschichte 1958 wurde die Band in London unter dem Namen The Drifters als Begleitband für Cliff Richard gegründet. Auf Druck der amerikanischen Band gleichen Namens benannten sie sich 1959 in The Shadows um. Bandmitglieder sind Hank Marvin (Gitarre), Bruce Welch (Gitarre), Jet Harris (Bass) und Tony Meehan (Schlagzeug). After having played together for a year and a half and released a 5-song demo, in a band with the name Allsherjar, Karg (vocals), Joel (drums), Linus (guitar), Joakim (keyboard) and Jörundr (bass) decided to take on an extra guitar player, consequently, Zharlie joined the band during Fall 2002, however, the music progressed and changed so drastically that a change of name felt necessary, thus the name Shadows of Paragon was embraced. Shadowdance is a progressive power metal band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They formed in 1999 and released their debut album, Ageless, in 2000. An EP entitled Another Look followed in 2003. Though never breaking up, the band's second full-length album would not come out for another nine years. On May 1, 2012, the band released their long-awaited second full-length album, Future Negative Fantasy. Shadowdance is currently completely reworking the 1st album "Ageless", completely remixed & remastered with additional recording for a late 2012 / early 2013 release .
