Harlequin ist eine Kanadische Rockband. Gegründet 1975 in Winnipeg, veröffentlichten sie 1979 bei Epic ihr erstes Album „Victim of a Song“. 1980 erschien „Love Crimes“, es folgten „One False Move“ (1982) und „Radio Romances“ (1984), bevor die Band auseinanderbrach. 2004 erfolgte ein Comeback mt dem Album „Harlequin II“, dem 2007 das Album „Waking the Jester“ folgte. Stilistisch dem Melodic Rock zuzuordnen, konnte die Band vor allem in Kanada eine große Fangemeinde um sich scharen. Ihre ersten beiden Alben sind dort mit Gold bzw. Platin ausgezeichnet worden.
