Carsten Valentin (C.V.) Jørgensen (born 9th May 1950) is a Danish singer-songwriter. Since his album debut in 1974 "CV" has had a career in Denmark kind of comparable to Neil Youngs career in the US - in managing to maintain artistic integrity, stylistic versatility as well as critical and popular appeal. In 2010 he is making a comeback on the live circuit- including a much anticipated performance at the Roskilde Festival.

Jimmy Jørgensen er oprindelig uddannet som blikkenslager. Han er medstifter af rockbandet Hotel Hunger, der begyndte som Baby Hotel Hunger i 1985. Her er han forsanger og med til at skrive teksterne. He started out playing drums at the age of nine, making the switch to electric guitar at fifteen, and beginning a professional career five years later. In 1995 he won a Norwegian Grammy with his rock band Green Cortinas, and a # 2 spot hit single on the national radio charts.
