There are at least two groups named Loner: 1) Loner (a.k.a. Al DeLoner (eigentlich Atle Byström) ist ein norwegischer Singer/Songwriter (* 9. Oktober 1970 in Telemark). Mit sieben Jahren nimmt er Klavierstunden, wechselt dann zur Bassgitarre, lernt Schlagzeug und spielt schließlich Gitarre. Nebenbei ringt er und wird dabei norwegischer Jugendmeister. Nach Ableistung seines Zivildienstes gründet Al DeLoner 1992 in Oslo zusammen mit seinem Bruder Ron Olsen (eigentlich Ronny Bytröm) (Bass) und Paal Flaata (Gesang/Gitarre) die Rockabilly-Band "The Hashbrowns". 1994 ändert die Band ihren Namen in "Midnight Choir" (nach einer Zeile in dem Leonard Cohen Song "Bird on a Wire") und veröffentlicht ein gleichnamiges Album, dem vier weitere Studioalben folgen. The Loners (Samotari) are a cult band. The music was written by Jan P. Muchow (also performing as a member of “Ecstasy of Saint Theresa”). The most famous song is “Lucky boy” written by Jan P. Muchow at home with a bottle of alcohol :) and recorded also that evening at the same place. The Loners is movie made by Peter Zelenka, good comedy about czech pot smokers… .
