Irgendwie passten sie in all den Jahren (gegründet 1975 in Berlin) nirgends so recht ins Konzept und haben es doch geschafft, sich selbst und ihrem Publikum treu zu bleiben. Den DDR- Kulturfunktionären schien die Band um Pianist und Songwriter Wolfram Boddi Bodag als Blues-Band zu weit weg vom Idealbild des liedhaften Rock als dass man sie wirklich hätte groß raus kommen lassen. Blues-Puristen wiederum kritisierten mangelnde Authentizität einer Band, die sich um die Einhaltung des originalen Zwölf - Takt - Schemas wenig scherte und statt dessen Blueselemente nach Belieben mit Rock- und Soulelementen vermengte oder sich gar des psychedelischen Flower-Power-Lagers...

The Sun Years 2003 On February 1st, steered by Ülo Krigul and Tanel Padar. Tanel Padar & The Sun come together for the first time. The inital line-up also featres Danel Pandre and Toomas Rull. The month of May sees the release of the debut single “Big Lie”. Toomas leaves the band, to be replaced behind drums by Eimel Kaljulaid. 2004 In the summer, Meelis Tauk joins the band on guitars.
