Sheena formed together around 2003 with Peter Wallner, Matt Wilson, and Joe Weed all having experience together in a creative musical environment. Matt McClaine, a drummer of the early band, parted ways in 2005. The remaining members decided to carry on with the "Sheena" moniker, and began writing material that represented their evolution towards electronica inspired dance rock.

1979 heiratete sie Sandi Easton. Die Ehe hielt nur acht Monate, doch Orr behielt den Namen Sheena Easton. Seit 1992 besitzt sie die US-Staatsbürgerschaft. Easton adoptierte 1994 einen Jungen (Jake) und 1996 ein Mädchen (Skylar). Auch ihre Ehen mit Rob Light (1984), Tim Delarm (1996) und John Minoli (2003) gingen nach nur wenigen Monaten in die Brüche. Kosheen ist eine Band aus Cardiff, Großbritannien, bestehend aus der Sängerin Sian Evans, Markee Substance (Bürgerlich: Mark Morrison) aus Glasgow und Darren Decoder (Darren Beale). Die beiden männlichen Mitglieder stammen ursprünglich aus der Punk-Szene, während Evans zuerst in verschiedenen Jazz- und R'n'B-Bands sang.
Der Name der Band entstand während eines Besuchs in einem Tattoo-Studio und ist aus den japanischen Wörtern für „alt“ (古, ko) und „neu“ (新, shin) zusammengesetzt. Er soll den stilistischen Anspruch ausdrücken, moderne elektronische Musik mit klassischem Songwriting zu verbinden.
Kosheen hatte als Ziel, eine „offenere“, bühnentaugliche Art von Drum'n'Bass zu produzieren. Die erste Single hieß Hide...

He first emerged on the electronic music scene in 1995, where he released his first EP, "ELECTRONIC MEMBRAIN", on the well respected REFLECTIVE RECORDS out of San Francisco.
