Yakuza is an avant-garde metal band, formed in Chicago in 1999. They have been acclaimed for their incorporation of jazz and world music elements. Yakuza was formed in 1999 by the Chicago native, Eric Plonka, when, after an unsuccessful attempt to find a guitar player for the band he and drummer James Staffel were currently involved (in which plonka was the bass player) taught himself to play guitar and recorded a three song cd titled "Thursdays in Hell" with Staffel. Das Duo Pampatut sind: Holger "Hopfenstreich" Hoffmann - ein wahres Urgestein der Mittelalterszene und einer der professionellsten und vielseitigsten Spielmänner Deutschlands. Neben der Stimme beherrscht er diverse Instrumente, u.a. Dudelsack und Drehleier. Die andere Hälfte ist Max von Gluchowe, ein studierter Musiker und gefragter Unterhaltungskünstler. Das flotte Mundwerk ergänzt er mit Instrumenten wie Langhalsfanfare, Cister und Schlagwerk. Die Programme der Beiden sind humorvoll und absolut sehenswert! .

Pampa Yakuza is an Argentinian pop/rockband from Liniers, Buenos Aires. Founded in 1997, the band recorded two albums (Carnaval para tu desconsuelo (2003) & Orilla(2006)) and will release a third album in 2007. Their music is related to the strong Argentinia/Uruguyan movement of bands who make happy, danceable pop/rock music with strong ska/reggea influences. .
