Formed in Austin, TX, Pompeii are best known for their melodic and ambient rock sound, which features the addition of a cello. Their two releases, Assembly and Nothing Happens for a Reason are both distributed through Eyeball Records (WEA/ADA), Bad News Records (Japan) and Cargo Distribution (Europe).
Pompeii has received worldwide attention and critical acclaim from such outlets as American Songwriter Magazine, Alternative Press, Filter, NPR, Apple and MTV.

Sunny Pompeii was buried in the ashes of Mt. Vesuvius nearly two thousand years ago and reborn as a psychedelic pop band in 2010 on the hills of Little Mountain in Vancouver, British Columbia. The 4-piece fuses together the classic warmth of sun-baked afternoons with a refreshing blast of melodic distinction. Listening to their music is like eating fruit from the forbidden tree of knowledge - it feeds your mind with the sweetness of hooks and rhythms that are hard to describe and even harder to get out of your head.

Having found Mani Kashmiri practising air guitar on the London Underground, singer Andy Pisanu recruited Mark Dolan to play bass on a park bench outside a notorious Highgate boozer. Si Cross joined around a year later, when it became apparent that the original drummer would rather attend christenings in Liverpool than spend time in the studio eating lasagne and Tunnock's caramel wafers.
The Poor Souls' songs consist of heart-wrenching lyrics, four-to-the-floor bassdrum beats and soaring guitars.
