My Bloody Valentine ist eine 1984 in Dublin gegründete irisch-englische Rockband. Zusammen mit Bands wie Lush, Slowdive, Curve und Ride prägten sie ein Genre, welches in der englischen Musikpresse als Shoegazing bezeichnet wurde.
