The Fingertips debut album in 2003 achieved first place on radio airplay charts with the single “Melancholic Ballad”. This was followed up with two more releases (2006 & 2007) which saw the band repeating their success with top radio airplay once again. Michael Prins (born Giessenburg, The Netherlands, 14 December 1985) is a Dutch singer-songwriter currently based in the town of Haarlem. He is best known for winning the 2013 edition of the TV show, 'De Beste Singer-Songwriter van Nederland' ('The Netherlands' Best Singer-Songwriter'), beating Maaike Ouboter in the final. His début album, Rivertown Fairytales, came out in October 2013. .
