Joy Division war eine britische Postpunk-Band, die sich im Jahre 1977 zunächst unter dem Namen Warsaw in Manchester zusammenfand. Der spätere Name Joy Division leitete sich von der Bezeichnung für Zwangsprostituierte der deutschen Wehrmacht ab, die im Roman The House of Dolls des ehemaligen KZ-Häftlings Yehiel Feiner (erschienen unter seiner KZ-Registriernummer Ka-Tzetnik 135633) beschrieben werden.
