The Metropole Orkest (or The Metropole Orchestra) (1945 - Present), is a jazz and pop orchestra based in Hilversum, The Netherlands, and is the largest full-time ensemble of its kind in the world. A hybrid orchestra, it is a combination of jazz big band and symphony orchestra. A short-lived progressive rock band from Berlin - 1973 initiated by Michael Duwe who has been an early member of AGITATION FREE and produced "Seven UP" with ASH RA TEMPEL.
