David Sanborn wurde am 30. Juli 1945 in Tamapa (Florida) geboren.
Er ist ein amerikanischer Pop- Rock- und Jazzsaxophonist, beeinflußt vom Chicago-Blues.
Als er mit 3 Jahren an Kinderlähmung erkrankte, begann er als Therapie Altsaxophon zu spielen. 1975 nahm er sein erstes Soloalbum "Taking off" auf. Der Durchbruch kam 1980 mit dem Album "Hideaway", damit verhalf Sanborn dem Saxophon maßgeblich zu neuem Ruhm in der Popmusik.
Er spielte mit den Rolling Stones, Marcus Miller, Eric Clapton, Al Jarreau, Stevie Wonder, David Bowie und vielen anderen. .

One is a power metal band. Cauldron Born was the vision of Howie Bentley. The guitarist and composer took years in the 90's to form a band with musicians up to his caliber. He eventually found bassist Shawn Kasack, drummer Bill Parsons, and singer Christian Shulcze. The four recorded a demo called "Swords, Sorcery, and Science" and signed with the Italian based label Underground Symphony.
