Die vierköpfige Band aus der Schweiz spielt seit November 2003 in unveränderter Formation und lässt es bei ihren Auftritten gerne ordentlich krachen. Was als Punkband begann entwickelte sich mit der Zeit immer mehr in Richtung Rock und bescherte OFFSHORE schon Gigs mit Bands wie My Last Escape, Treekillaz" oder United To Be Famous in einigen namhaften Clubs. Die erste Demo CD wurde an einem dieser Konzerte Live aufgezeichnet und erschien bereits Mitte 2004. James Newton Howard (* 9. Juni 1951 in Los Angeles, Kalifornien) ist ein US-amerikanischer Komponist und Musikproduzent. Er arbeitet oft mit Regisseur M. Night Shyamalan zusammen und schrieb zu fünf von dessen Filmen die Musik. Er studierte an der Santa Barbara’s Music Academy und an der USC School of Music. In den 1970er Jahren spielte er als Keyboarder in der Band Mama Lion. 1975, im Alter von 24 Jahren, begann seine Zusammenarbeit mit dem britischen Popstar Elton John. George Howard was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His earlier training could be best attributed to his classical training on the clarinet, and the bassoon. During his teen years, he often listened to jazz-rock, and soul. However, it was his father who first introduced him to the earlier jazz works, of Charlie “The Bird” Parker, and John Coltrane. Later on, he moved to the soprano saxophone, which was his signature sound and voice.
