Common (* 1972 in Chicago, Illinois, als Lonnie Rashid Lynn) ist ein US-amerikanischer Rapper. auf seiner ersten LP "Can I Borrow A Dollar" nannte er sich noch Common Sense. Den Namen Common Sense musste er allerdings zu Common verkürzen da es bereits eine Ska-Band mit diesem Namen gab und ein Rechtsstreit drohte. Er veröffentlichte das Album „One Day It´ll Make Sense“ auf dem viele bekannte Musiker wie De La Soul, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu und The Roots mitwirken. Ebenfalls arbeitete er bei Pete Rocks Album Soul „Survivor“ und Talib Kwelis und Mos Def „Blackstar“ mit. (weiter lesen unter Common) .

Uncommommenfrommars sind eine französische Punk Rock Band. Die Bandgeschichte beginnt mit drei an der Ostküste der USA geborenen Brüdern: Die Zwillinge Trint und Daff sowie der drei Jahre jüngere Ed. Das Trio siedelt in jungen Jahren nach Frankreich über und findet dort den Bassisten Jim, mit dem in den frühen 90ern schließlich die Band Uncommonmenfrommars (UCMFM) gegründet wird. 2000 unterzeichnen die Mitglieder ihren Plattenvertrag bei Wagram und veröffentlichen ihre erste offizielle EP.
