Galileo Galilei (ガリレオガリレイ) was an indie rock band from Hokkaido, Japan. After a successful indie album, they signed onto Sony Music and released their debut single "Natsuzora (夏空)", which would be used as the opening for the anime "Ōkiku Furikabutte ~Natsu no Taikai-hen~". Afterwards they released two more singles and their debut album "Parade" (パレード) in February 2011, which peaked at number #5 on the Oricon Album Chart. Galileo (Freddy Sahin-Scholl) wurde 1953 in Heilbronn geboren. Galileo wurde berühmt als Künstler, der mit sich selbst im Duett singt: Seine klarer Sopran eines Countertenors auf der einen, sein satter Bariton auf der anderen Seite. Zuletzt trat er in der Sendung "Das Supertalent 2010" als Kandidat auf. Seine erste CD mit dem Titel "Carpe Diem" erschien 2003 bei Edel Record (Edel Musica Austria). .
