AFRAID was formed in Portland, ME, in the spring of 2011. Theirs is a music that defies easy categorization, centered on hypnotic bass and layered, ghostly vocals, played at dirge-like tempos and cloaked in droning loops. With equal footing in sleazy 20th century gutter rock and contemporary pitch-black experimental transgression, they write music at once paranoid and trance-inducing, beautiful and violent. Afraid of Stairs is a shoegaze band from Gothenburg, Sweden consisting of Pontus Wallgren & Max Sjöholm. The band was conceived by Pontus Wallgren in March 2003, and some time later the band's first song, Not Today, was recorded. They were immediately signed to Labrador that put the demo version of the song on their site. Nafrat is a brutal death metal band from Singapore and was born in the summer of 2003. The original line-up consisted of Nazak (Vocals), Sahail (Guitars), Naar (Guitars), Zadgaroth (Bass) and Jahannam(Drums). The band went on to record their first demo called "Chaos Unleashed" in early 2005. It received positive reactions across the South East Asian underground scene.
