The Heroine Sheiks was a New York, United States-based noise rock band until early 2006, when the band called it quits. It began in 1999 as a collaboration of Shannon Selberg, George Porfiris, Norman Westberg and John Fell. Selberg emerged as a major songwriter in the complete history of the band whose sound was darker and more sinister than his previous work in The Cows. A duo from Rome, Italy, Heroin In Tahiti is composed by Valerio Mattioli (AAVV Videos, Thetlvmth) and Francesco De Figuereido (Opium Child), both hailing from the so named “Borgata Boredom” scene, a sort of local community based in“Roma Est” (East Rome), the crumbling and deteriorated neighborhoods which were already immortalized by Pasolini and Neorealist Cinema (think of Pasolini, De Sica, Visconti etc). The duo plays a variety of cheap guitars, analog synths, drum machines and pedals, achieving a dirtiness which is tragically lo-fi and out-of-time at the same time: a “Spaghetti Wasteland”, as they call it. .

Super Heroines was a deathrock band formed in Los Angeles, United States from around 1981. It featured Eva O, Jill Emery and Del Mar Richardson, along with Steve Darrow. Both Emery and O who went on to play with Rozz Williams (from fellow Deathrock band Christian Death) in his next band, Shadow Project during the 1990s. Jill also played bass in the Alternative rock band Hole on their 1991 debut album Pretty On The Inside. Steve Darrow went on to play in Hollywood Rose, the pre-Guns N' Roses band that featured Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin .
