The Used ist eine amerikanische Alternative Rock Band aus Orem, Utah. Ihre Musik zeichnet sich durch eine wohldosierte Härte und die zwischen Verzweiflung und Erlösung, zwischen Gesang und Geschrei schwankende Stimme des Sängers Robert Edward McCracken (genannt Bert McCracken) aus, dessen gesundheitliche Labilität schon des Öfteren zu spontanem Erbrechen und Kollabieren auf der Bühne führte.
