BUMP OF CHICKEN (jap.:バンプ・オブ・チキン, Banpu Obu Chikin) sind eine Rockband aus Chiba, Japan. Ihre Mitglieder sind Fujiwara Motoo, Hiroaki Masukawa, Yoshifumi Naoi und Hideo Masu. Seit ihrer Gründung 1994 haben sie 5 Alben und 14 Singles veröffentlicht. There atleast two bands called Bumper: 1. an 80s electric funkband. 2. a swedish power pop band. Bumper (1): Members Geoffrey T and Mr. Pauli met in Hague (The Netherlands) in 1999 and realised the world was getting seriously unfunky. Something had to be done. Both being heavily influenced by 80's electronic funk, it didn't take long before the two started working in the studio, trying to recapture some of the vibes from those days.
