Mayday Parade ist eine im Jahre 2005 gegründete Alternative Rock Band aus Tallahassee, Florida, Vereinigte Staaten. Mit einem noch unentschlossenen Namen ging die Band ins Studio und nahm ihre erste EP Tales Told by Dead Friends mit dem Produzenten Lee Dyess auf. Their first release was a flexi on Stephen Maughan's Dolphin 7 label in 1989, and it came with his This Almighty Pop! fanzine. The only proper vinyl releases were the eps "Lazy Days" and "The Guilt Chest", both on German label A Turntable Friend (1990).
