Wide Awake war eine Straight Edge Hardcore, die sich im Jahre 1986 in Connecticut gründete. Jedoch bereits 2 Jahre später, im Jahre 1988, gingen sie wieder getrennte Wege.
Im Jahre 1998 erschied die mit "25 songs discography" betitelte CD von Wide Awake auf dem Sorgasboard Records Label. Die CD beinhaltet alle ihre Songs und ihre Liveversionen.
