Es gibt 4 Bands mit dem Namen Tribute. 1. Die erste Band mit dem Namen war eine schwedische Progressive Rock Band aus Schweden, die 1982 von Gideon Andersson und Josef Rhedin gegründet wurde. Hierzulande wurde sie in den 80ern und 90ern durch vielzählige Live- und Festivalauftritte bekannt. Die orchestrale Formation veröffentlichte zwischen 1984 und 1991 drei Studioalben von denen die ersten beiden durch Pierre Moerlen gefeatured wurden. Ferner wurde 1990 die einzige Live Scheibe veröffentlicht. Stilistisch findet man in der Musik von Tribute Parallelen zu Mike Oldfield und Piere Moerlen's Gong. Sie kann aber auch dem Symphonic Rock zugeschrieben werden....
Retribution Gospel Choir is an indie rock band based out of Duluth, Minnesota, USA formed in 2007. Current members of the band include, Alan Sparhawk (guitar, vocals, sampler), Steve Garrington (bass), both of whom are also in the band Low, and Eric Pollard (drums, vocals). Despite sharing the majority of their members, RGC's high-energy performance differs greatly from Low's subdued, minimalist feel. Until 2008, Matt Livingston (formerly Low) played bass for the band. The makings of the Ideal Free Distribution came together in 1997 when Eric Griffy, Tony Miller, and Craig Morris decided to make some recordings in Eric's bedroom of some of the primitive ramblings trapped in their heads. Often crude and amateurish, the songs nonetheless had a unique sound and vision that encouraged the three to keep it up. In a few months, the songs became respectable enough to play for others, and good enough to keep the group recording more material.
