The Ascent Of Everest biography
THE ASCENT OF EVEREST is a post rock band formed in Tennessee in 2005 by Devin Lamp (guitar, vocals), Keller McDivitt (guitar), Drew Binkley (bass), Casey Kaufman (cello, strings), Dillon Smith (violin, strings), Chris Click (piano) and Michael Thurmon (drums, percussion). In 2006 they self-released their debut entitled "How Lonely Sits the City" and since the release the band embarked on an extensive tour to support their debut which would later be re-mastered and re-released on Shelsmusic(their current label) in June 2008. Their currently preparing a tour in the U.K. and working in new material for their follow up album.
Highly recommended for fans of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, The Pirate Ship Quintet, Mogwai and Yndi Halda!
