Slinky Williams

As a singer she adores the laid-back phrasing of Billie Holiday and the big voice of Bessie Smith, always ready for a vocal harmony with P’tit Loup .

Besides the acoustic guitar she also plays mandolin, related to American folk music, blues, bluegrass and swing jazz.

Slinky’s device:
„Tain’t nobody’s biz-ness if I do”.
P’tit Loup

acoustic /electric guitar
vocals

Researchers tend to dispute his name and date of birth. Partly raised by a wolfhound bitch, he adopted the name P’tit Loup himself.

What makes him sing and play the way he does: Early blues songs, swing jazz standards of the 30's/40's, 60's pop, New Orleans music/bands.

Key figures:
Robert Johnson, Duke Ellington, Thomas "Fats" Waller, The Beatles, J.J. Cale, Dr. John, Allen Toussaint, Jerry Garcia.

Found his philosophy of life in Hans Magnus Enzensberger's poem "Minimalprogramm". And besides he says: "laissez le bon temps rouler".

The two started in 1972, to perform with various bands in Folk Clubs, Jazz Clubs and at festivals in Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Scandinavia and Poland.
Many styles were tried performing with international musicians like Martin Winsor and Jeannie Steel, Mr. John (John Makin), Osjan, Woiciech Waglewski and Stefan Michalke.

In the beginning influenced by British Folk ( several gigs in London’s folk clubs like at “The Troubadour”, “Half Moon” or “Nag’s Head”, LPs “Spielmannskinder”; “No Rays of Noise”), later more improvised world music (tour and LP “All In Green” with W. Waglewski),
Rock and Jazz in the 90ties, they returned to the “roots”: Rhythm’& Blues based in Louisiana, Swing Jazz, Americana
